Operation

Turn the "Power" switch to "LASER" position to turn on the laser. Select the time by switching the "TIMER" to "CONT", "5 Min" or "10 Min" for the duration of operation. The laser will automatically turn off when the time set on the "TIMER" switch is over. The device buzzes and the laser output will be cut off automatically when time is over. Turn the Laser " POWER " switch to "OFF" position and the buzzer will stop buzz.

Main features

Laser wavelength- 650nm.

Maximum power output- 5mW.

The apparatus can preset to three settings: continuous, 5 min & 10 min. If it is over, the device buzzes and the laser output will be cut off automatically. Turn the Laser "POWER" switch to "OFF" position and the buzzer will stop buzzing. Turn the Laser "POWER" switch to "LASER" position to turn it on for operation. The LED "LASER" will light up.

Don't stare at laser beam directly or through optical instrument.

Charging the battery

The operating voltage is 4.8V with four chargeable AAA battery cells. If the battery voltage is insufficient, the amber lamp "LOW BAT" lights up. Turn the power switch to "CHARGE" position. The device needs continuous about 4 - 5 hours charging time by using a 9V DC adaptor. The charged battery can work 8 hours continuously. When the charging is completed, the "CHARGE" indication lamp will keep lighting up, therefore turn the power switch to "OFF" position so the "CHARGE" indication lamp will no longer light up. The Laser unit can be operated again.

Operating with Adaptor

When the unit is run out of battery, it can be operated by using a 9V DC adaptor. Plug a 9V DC adaptor into the socket of the device and get the electricity power supply directly, and at the same time turn the power switch to "LASER" position for operation.

Caution

Maintenance

Maintenance of the unit is limited to the change of rechargeable battery. When the battery is no longer rechargeable, contact your local dealer or agent, or our service department for renewal of battery.

Cleaning

DO NOT IMMERSE THE UNIT IN ANY CLEANING SOLUTION.

The unit should be periodically wiped clean using a damp cloth. The laser protective cap and laser probe can be taken out for cleaning with mild soap, water, alcohol or sterilization. The wire and laser probe round shape stand should be wiped clean with a cloth dampened with and mild soap solution and then wiped dry.

Troubleshooting

If your unit seems to be functioning improperly, check the procedures shown below to determine what may be wrong. If none of these measures correct the problem, the unit should be serviced. Do not attempt to repair the unit by yourself! Return the unit to your local authorized dealer or to the manufacturer as listed in the manual for repair or service.

Problem

a. Indicator lights up but unit does not function properly.

b. Low battery lamp illuminates.

c. No indicators light up.

Solution

a. Check the control panel settings, is the laser turned to "ON" position?

b. Charge the unit with 9V DC adaptor.

c. Check the control panel settings, is the operating time set by the timer over?

Battery replacement: If battery cannot be recharged anymore, the self-life of battery is expired and new rechargeable battery should be replaced. Contact your local dealer or agent, or our service department for renewal of battery. The general shelf life of rechargeable battery is about one to two years, depending on the operation hours of the unit for each treatment.

Storage and Transportation:

Store unit in a dry location free from dust and contamination where the temperature remains fairly constant and within the range of 16 °C to 40 °C (61°F to 104°F).

Do not drop, mishandle, or expose to temperature or humidity extremes outside the range of 16 °C to 40 °C (61°F to 104°F), 15-95% RH non-condensing.

Do not use if the unit malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

There is generally no restricted shelf life of the device.

Limited Warranty:

This warranty is in lieu of any other warranty expressed or implied:

The Vita-650 is warranted to the initial purchase ("purchases") and to no other person against any defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. If the unit is found to be defective within the warranty period, it will be repaired if returned to an authorized service center. This warranty does not cover damage caused by rental, misuse, negligence, accident, abuse or alternation or modification of the unit. Repairs after the warranty period will be made and charged to the customer on the basis of rates which are available on request.
